Usage Instructions

  • Enter the name of the contributor. The separation between a surname and first name should be indicated as 'Surname, First Name' (i.e. comma and an en space).
  • If a first name in English is not known, you can enter the initial character only. If there is a middle name, enter 'Surname, Middle Name First Name'.

Notes

  • Each language code should only appear once in 'jpcoar:contributorName'.
  • Do not enter a job title, role or additional notes.
  • If it is a direct role such as an author or translator, use 'jpcoar:creator' (Creator).
  • For a publisher, use 'dc:publisher' (Publisher).
  • The language attribute for ‘yomi’ should be entered in katakana with ‘xml:lang=“ja-Kana”’ as attribute.

  • It is not recommended to enter the element without specifying ‘xml:lang’.
